5-10 Acres in Ottawa Lake, MI

Name: Pamela Langenderfer

Email: [email protected]

Address of Farm: Ottawa Lake, MI 49267 US

Tell us about the Land or Operation you are seeking new management for (the more details the better): We have a family farm and would like to lease to someone who is interested in doing regenerative farming. It could start out small ex. 5 to 10 acres. I would like it to be a site to connect people to the land and their health.

Any other details?: I am a naturopathic physician who believes in the power of food to heal. I see the impact every day that food has on people, both negative and positive. Most people's chronic disease is due to poor eating habits and food quality. This is something I teach people on a daily basis and refer them to local farmers to find higher quality foods such as grassfed beef. I would like to see my family farm be an educational site for the community for this movement.

165 Acres in Canton, TX

Name: Jennifer Carp

Email: [email protected]

Address of Farm: Canton, TX 75124

Tell us about the Land or Operation you are seeking new management for (the more details the better): We have about 165 acres in East Texas, of which about 30 has been leased for growing hay for many years. Another five acres that was previously hay was planted with loblolly pines in 2018. The remaining land is undeveloped with a variety of trees, wild growth, some wet weather creeks and trails for our ATVs. We do not live on the property, but have a home there where we stay as often as possible. We have a well, but currently no other source of water for potential farm animals. However, we would be interested in installing a tank. Most of the property is fenced, but it does have areas that fencing need to be improved. That previous lessee passed away a couple of years ago, and we would like to find someone to use regenerative practices on the property.

Any other details?: Our main goal is for the land to be improved through regenerative farming/ranching.

160 Acres of Grassland & 155 Crop Land in Yoder, WY

Name: Jaelle Dragomir

Email: [email protected]

Address of Farm: Hwy 154, Yoder, WY 82244, United States

Tell us about the Land : I inherited 160 acres grassland and 155 acres dry land crop two years ago and the farmer that has leased the farm used RoundUp and grew wheat and sunflowers, alternately. I want to lease the farm to a farmer who uses regenerative farming to rebuild the soil and bring it back to life.

Any other details?: I look forward to building a trusted relationship with a regenerative farmer that loves the land and looks forward to rebuilding the soil and growing healthy crops for a local community. I owned and operated a working ranch/farm in the area for 20 years, so I understand the challenges of farming in Wyoming.

2.75 Acres in Chase City, VA

Name: Nikki Atkinson

Email: [email protected]

Address of Farm: Chase City, VA 23924

Tell us about the Land or Operation you are seeking new management for (the more details the better): We purchased a small farm/homestead (2.75 acres) with an old farmhouse on the property. We are looking for a small family or individual willing to establish a regenerative farm on the property. We are open to creative ideas/solutions for repaying us for the use of the land. The farmhouse is not livable at the current moment but we plan on renovating it. The land has a water/sewage available and a camper may be used for the short term.

Any other details?: We are willing to listen to all ideas for this homestead and creative terms for leasing/renting the land. We are willing to barter for products produced from the land in lieu of some of the rent. We do not have a set rent price only because we are willing to negotiate so that the right family/individual leases the land. We are more concerned with the tenant's references, willingness to work in a regenerative framework, and ability to take care of the land than we are with the rent.

Land and House for Lease 28 acres in Pierson, MI

Name: Jessi Brown

Email: [email protected]

Address of Farm: 951 N Jones rd, Pierson, MI 49339, United States

Tell us about the Land: I have 28 acres with a one-bedroom house I am looking to lease. I started regaining this land and would love to have someone continue to use it. There is already a small barn and some secure paddocks, about 12/13 acres has been seeded to pasture. There are swampy/drainage areas that could be reclaimed as pasture with silvopasture methods/rotational grazing. There are spaces that could be worked up for a market garden, and a small but established orchard with apple, pear and cherry. There are 2 fenced horse safe pastures currently and 2 acres are rented to a group that trains sheep dogs. I've had good luck with electronet grazing in the pastures, we did cut the hay last year and got a decent harvest but our equipment is too far away to make it practical. I just know its hard to buy land right now, I have been fixing the house up and it's very cute and livable. Close to Grand Rapids/Sparta for markets and sale opportunities.

Any other details?: I just would like to see this land keep getting used, it's too much land for regular renters, I don't want the progress to go back wards and it's a very productive piece of ground.

15 Acres of Grazing in Broadway, NC

Name: Cori Backus

Email: [email protected]

Address of Farm: Broadway, North Carolina 27505

Tell us more: Open to any type of regenerative farming. Open to different types of agreements like possibly bartering land for free food. I have two large fields. One is 10 acres and one is 5 acres. There’s a large wooded area between the two field that would be good for pigs. It’s about 5 acres. We have an old barn. It’s not in the best shape, but good enough to keep some equipment under cover. There’s no fencing or other infrastructure, so it would be a clean slate. We’d really just love to see our land being used for something good, like supporting a young couple or family with the passion and skills for regenerative farming but just don’t have the money to invest in land. Bring us your ideas and let’s see what this beautiful earth can bring forth! Can’t wait to meet you!

Seeking Farmer for Livestock Operation in Broadway, NC

Name: Steve VanDerLoop

Email: [email protected]

Address of Farm: Bruce, WI 54819

Tell us more: We currently run cattle on the land in the summers and sell them as grassfed beef all year long. We also sell pastured chicken which we purchase from an Amish farmer. We also sell pork that is raised outside. The business is getting big enough so that it is taking all of our time to do the sales, marketing and delivery. If there were a regenerative farmer who would take over the farming duties, he could use our land to produce the beef, pork and chicken we sell. We would pay him for the animals raised and he would pay us rent to use our land. We routinely run 50 head of cattle on the land but if it were used to its full potential it is estimated the land could support 75 cattle per year, 2000 chickens per year and 150 pigs per year.

34 Acres of Crop Land in Lancaster, VA

Name: Nicola Peill-Moelter

Email: [email protected]

Address of Farm: 126 Edgehill Lane, Lancaster, VA 22503

Tell us more: I am in search of a farmer who wants to farm our 34-acre farm in Lancaster Virginia regeneratively for profit with my financial and technical support, with a cost- and profit-share arrangement that is favorable for the farmer. My main goal is to restore the health and biodiversity of the land. My family owns a 120-acre property/34-acre farm in the Northern Neck (Lancaster VA) and I’m looking to partner with a regenerative farmer. I am a lifelong environmentalist with a career in high-tech corporate sustainability. My regenerative farming journey began in 2018 when I read Gabe Brown’s book, Dirt to Soil. Since then I have completed training in regenerative ag practices through the Soil Food Web and have undertaken a project to convert 2.5 acres of the 34-acre farm to regenerative practices with a vision is to convert the entire 34-acres to regenerative practices. The current tenant farmer has been farming the land conventionally for decades and is not interested in shifting to regenerative practices – although he practices no till. I have invested in equipment (electric gator, crimper, biological soil drench sprayer, composting equipment, and soon a tractor). The property also has a barn, water well, and electric. Last fall and this spring I planted multi-species cover crops. My expectation is that by next spring (2024) the soil will be sufficiently healed to plant a cash crop without the need/minimal need for chemical inputs or tilling. The farmer would be responsible for most of the farming operations including selecting the cash crop, planting, harvesting, marketing, etc.
